WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM US

Upon receipt of the nomination, we firmly follow all vessel movements and update you daily with the prospects. When we have more vessels to attend, our inclusive solution will provide all in one clear daily update format. Furthermore, we maintain contact with the supplying parties as well as with the local Agents. This way, we feel confident that all involved parties are following our input. Our updates contain information such as "ETA, bunkering in progress, or the expected delivery time.

WORK ETHICS

The Surveyor shall conduct the survey themselves independently, impartially, and professionally.

WORK SAFETY

The Surveyor shall not enter bunker tanks, cofferdams, or unventilated enclosed spaces where safe access is inadequate. They shall reserve the right to discontinue that section of the survey.

WORK EQUIPMENT

The Surveyor shall use approved equipment and documents to ensure total quality control.

INITIAL CONTACT

The Surveyor shall verbally advise the vessel's Chief Engineer on the items mentioned in the Pre-Survey Vessel Acknowledgement Form regarding the quantity survey, sampling, safe bunkering practices and cautionary notes.

PRE-BUNKERING PROCEDURE

The Surveyor shall personally conduct opening measurements on the Vessel and Bunker Tanker in the presence of the Chief Engineer (or his representative) and Bunker Tanker Representative.

QUALITY CONTROL

The Quality Control Supervisor (F. Harami) will carry out random quality audits to ensure the quality of work performed by the Surveyor to maintain the highest quality.

POST-BUNKERING PROCEDURE

The Surveyor shall personally complete the final closing measurements and computation of the delivered quantity of the Bunker Tanker. Only then will the Surveyor be closing measurements on the Vessel. Also, issue a Gauging ticket to record measurements to all parties involved. The Surveyor shall document the events and reasons where additional pumping is required. Quantity disputes shall involve further measurement checks of nominated, non-nominated and non-bunker tanks on Vessel and Bunker Tanker. The Statement of Fact enables us to elaborate on the quantity dispute. After consulting the customer, the Surveyor will advise the Chief Engineer to clause the Bunker Delivery Note or issue a Letter of Protest if required. Any irregularities shall be recorded in the appropriate documents.

SAMPLING PROCEDURE

The Surveyor shall take a representative sample based on the customer's requirement at the sampling location. Without a specified site, the sample is taken at the custody of the transfer point, which is at the Vessel's manifold, unless local regulations dictate otherwise. The Vessel should be fitted with a proper sampling device to facilitate the sampling. A minimum of four sample bottles sealed and labelled are required for distribution: one to Bunker Supplier, one to Vessel & two for Surveyor Lab & retention. Wherever possible, the Bunker Supplier will be encouraged to counterseal the sample bottles so that only one standard set of representative samples exists for the bunkering. Any irregularities in this procedure will be recorded in the appropriate documents.
